Cruise News reports this week that Princess Cruise Line is offering a series of three and four night round trip cruises out of Vancouver during May and September. Is there a market for these and is anybody, as I am, seriously contemplating making one of these trips?

Everybody needs a quick getaway every now and then!!!!! This provides west coasters a great opportunity to experience Princess.. without having to dole out several hundred for air to FL or SJU... and it gives them a nice entree to the Star Princess (albeit a different ship) once she starts the run out of San Pedro.

Last year RCI started doing 3/4 day trips out of Seattle going to Vancouver and Victoria. They were went over well and are being done again this year with the new Radiance. Where are the Princess ships stoping at? I suppose Seattle.. I will take a look at taking one. I did the one out of Seattle twice last year and am booked to do it again this year. I would love to be able to take longer ones from nearby but how many time can you see Alaska???

Princess has been doing them for years. They schedule them in in case they need a few days for a drydocking or other repairs before the season starts...saves cancelling a full cruise and is handy for TAs publicity etc.

We booked a three night on the Radiance of the Seas Monday, for the May 11 sailing! We are already booked on the Radiance for the Sept. 21 three night, but got such a great price we decided to do it twice! The priced dropped to $299.00 each for an Oceanview. Anyone else going on these dates? We were thinking of maybe trying the Sept. 22 sailing on the Sea Princess out of Vancouver B.C. We are waiting to see if the price drops, if so we might jump ship! It depends how well we like the Radiance? These are great, because my husband doesn't have to use vacation time. It's just a long weekend!

I wonder if they have any Princess quickies on the east coast? Boston or New York habor, It's always nice to get away for a short vacation.
