This is for any one who can help me...
I just received a paper weight from an estate sale. It is clear plastic and enbeded inside is an emblem. It is two tones of green on silver. It is a porthole with the outline of the Rotterdam depicted at sea. On the top of the porthole frame are the words Holland America Line and on the bottom are the words Decade Club. I have never heard of the Decade Club. My question is, has anyone? I have been on many HAL cruises and have lots of HAL items, but nothing about the Decade Club. I would be greatful for any help or information you kind folks might supply.
With Kindest Regards
Richard

Have sailed 19 years with HAL, Richard, and I have never heard of the Decade Club. Maybe LizB or NAL would know as they have been sailing with HAL since the 50's. Maybe it was something they gave out back then.

Sorry Richard, I have never heard of the "Decade Club" either. Perhaps NAL might know something?
I wonder if it could have been given to World Cruise passengers to celebrate a decade of the Rotterdam V???

Sorry Richard, sympatico, and LizB.... I
haven't heard of it either. I think LizB's
suggestion is as good as any, but perhaps
someone else may know for sure. It may well
be a corporate thing too after ten years of
service for a company.

Maybe a group celebrating 10 years cruising together?

The group with which sympatico and I have frequently travelled recently celebrated its 25th Anniversary - all on HAL - a few original participants were on board.

Sympatico, LizB, NAL, Green,
Thanks all for responding to this question. I still don't know what it really is. But if I find out I'll let you know. Mabey I can scan it and e-mail it to Joe so he can post a picture of it for you all to see. I will try.
