Does anyone here maintain a correspondence with anybody who actually works and lives on a ship? If so, how do you find the addresses, and does anyone know where I can get the adresses for Airtours ships?

Thanks,
Paddy.

I belive they have to contact you. Most ship have codes you can call, and Golden Sun Cruises gives their ships e-mail addresses in which people use can contact other people.

Yes, I do, but now we all use e-mail for keeping in touch.
When I used to send mail to the ship, it was sent c/o of the Agent in the home port, like Ft. Lauderdale, Vancouver, Tampa, etc. You would have to have the name of the person, his/her position, dept., ship, Agents name and address.
You may be able to phone Air Tours Personnel Dept. and get this info from them. Don't know how they work in the UK.
Are you looking for a specific person, Paddy?
Hope you get the address.
I meant to add that you do have to get the address from a staff person. As for e-mail addresses, they do not give these out freely.

When I correspond with friends on HAL ships, I send the mail addressed: John Doe, c/o Holland America Line, 300 Elliot Avenue West, Seattle, WA 98119 In large letters, mark the envelope "Please Forward". If you know the persons department, mark it under their name in the address, ie Bar Department; Cabin Steward, etc. They have always been very good about forwarding mail.

Jkm7 - My friends are also on HAL ships - some in Alaska and some in Europe, so e-mail makes it so much easier to get in touch with them and vice versa.
Maybe we know the same people???????

Sympatico: I also use e-mail to write to many of our friends, but many others do not have access. Also, at Christmas I enjoy sending cards and maybe adding an enclosure..like a telephone calling card for some of the stewards to use to call home. I have the impression you have sailed many times with HAL, as have we, so I'm sure we must know many of the same people. Just home from the Zaandam.....had a fabulous time.
