I was just advised yesterday that Premier is offering the Rembrandt for December and January 7 day cruises out of Port Canaveral going to San Juan, St. Thomas and Nassau starting at $399.00 including port charges.
Is this a last minute cash grab? How can any successful company possibly operate after port fees for about $260.00 a person. This would hardly pay for the fuel cost alone. I don't know what to read into this "to good to be true offer" but it really doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Any comments!

Considering the difference in quality, is that really much less than the $499 including port taxes that Princess has been offering Alaska cruises for? All of them are just trying to get warm bodies on board in the hope that they will spend on booze, gambling, shops, art auctions, wine tasting, bingo, excursions, etc.

Use a credit card & buy cancellation insurance. If Premier pulls a Regency you'll be protected. Book it, go & have a great cruise!

It looks like Premier, and David hawthorn are really starting to shake thinsg up. They've announced publicly that they wish to sell the seaBreeze and the SeaWind Crown, with the future of the rembrant being uncertain.

I think they shall be able to turn things around and for a couple of hundred dollars, I'd go ahead and book, pay by credit card and cover yourself with insurance. It will cost you a few more dollars, but as an adult, I'd rather have a weel on the Rembrant with all her wondeful memories than three days on Disney, with bored adults and sickly smiles, and the Rembrant is less money!

have a great cruise.

Cruisemamma.... is that a question you posted? Or an Advertisement?, I receive specials all of the time, but refrain from advertising on this board (even in creative words).

Watch it with this line, the whole fleet has been offered for sale and if there are any takers, you may be sailing in a ship you don't want.

Hi Vulcania, I did'nt read about all
their liners up for sale. I did read
last Monday, that the line was approached by 2 different buyers, but Nierenberg said no to both buyers and they only wanted to sell
2 of their liners. I think the 'wait
and see what comes from the office"
is the best thing for all of us.
However, getting insurance is still
the best idea.

Permier has been concducting a "mating dance" or "courting ritual" with another well known cruise ship operator.

Their "true" intentions are not yet known but it could get interesting!

Well, Tim. Whoever Premier is "courting". Let's hope it's somebody
who really cares about the passengers' best interests and the
interest in keeping their "present"
liners in good shape.
