We sailed on Marco Polo twice: once around New Zealand North and South islands and once from Bangkok to Singapore with a total eclipse sighting in the South China Sea (truly memorable!) The cabins are OK, food is quite good, Captain excellent and approachable and the Indonesian/Filipino crew fantasticly helpful and proud of their profession. Marco Polo does interesting itineraries and always has informative lectures and tour excursions, as well as local entertainment in most ports of call. She is no Seabourn or Crystal or even HAL but she gives good value and excellent destinations for the $$. I'd say go.

Mitch...did you see that back-to-back one? 14days from Copenhagen return, doing the Baltic on one side and Norway on the other.
As for the MP, we did a 33 day on her this year from Singapore to Piraeus, and the long Antarctic last year plus others. Our next is a 15 day in the Med.,so you can see she is currently our favorite ship as she has an excellent crew with very good food and service. On that last one we had no problems or complaints at all. A happy ship is a pleasure to sail on.
BTW. Orient does a good job on the shore excursions

Is it true that in most of the staterooms in catagories C and under the twin beds cannot be shifted to form a double.
Don't know whether we can afford to pay for those top Catagories?

I would say probably. Some are in an L configuration and I'm pretty sure ours were fixed. We've got a cabin we like and get most times by booking early....peter
