Here's an interesting item:

Several nude cruises a year are offered by Bare Necessities Tour & Travel of Austin, Texas, who boast a database of 20,000 names.
The company charters small to mid-sized vessels ranging from the sailing ships of Star Clipper to mainstream cruise ships. Travel Au Naturel in Land O'Lakes, Florida, charters sailings with costume parties, dancing and a special celebrations. "Some nude shore excursions are also scheduled on certain sailings".

Any takers? Are you on their database? Is it disgusting or harmless?

Malcolm......

Give one of these cruises a try and let us
know.......I wonder how they handle the
dining room?????? I am not sure dining "Au
Naturel" is all that appetizing.....unless
of course......it's an intimate thing in a
cabin....

Nevertheless.....we await your report....

Disgusting is putting it mildly.
For the light traveler I guess.
Why should I care? Sex sells, but I didn't buy anything Terry.

Hi everyone,

When I crossed on the Norway in 99,renegade/4
and myself discussed this very issue on the
promenade deck. Somebody said imagine the
entrances and exits on the grand staircase
especially after a big meal, or say the
aerobics class, or the dance floor or disco.
Boy, imagine the disco with everyone trying
to look like John Travolta. Better yet,on a crowded elavator...... YIKES !!

Lets see, If you are a normal male, what
happens when old faithful decides to
go north.....Whoa nelly...

Nude cruises will never be for me, because
I would like to enjoy the cruise and not feel
like I was being stared at.

Malcolm, looks like you did it again !!

Von Voyeurism,

I just can not imagine it!
The problem is that the people that you would most likely NOT want to see nude, are the ones that want to run around naked! I met a nudest before and I would not have wanted to see HIM nude! It sounds rather unsanitary. Whatever happened to mystery?

Ascendancy, I guess your idea of a nightmare cruise would be one with nude families with nude children, all screaming their heads off!

I bet 'nude' lifeboat drill would be worth a laugh or two!

You got that one right.
Nude lifeboat drill? If I had to I'd wear my jacket around my waste.

As someone above said -- Those who should not be nude, would definitely be the ones strutting their stuff. Saw this on Orient Beach in St. Martin. The funniest part was watching them snorkel -- just two "moons" and flippers!!! This was one of the funniest topics I have ever seen listed -- brought a lot of laughs.

good one bobo....i went to orient beach and also noticed that there were a lot of people that need to shed a few pounds, but i don't look at people and look and look and look i go nude at beaches that have the clothing opptional location and enjoy the sun not people watching....doing a nude cruise is not my "cup of tea", but a nude deck to tan on would be great for people that would like to get rid of the tan-lines.
dining on a nude cruise.....the attire is t-shirt and shorts to suit

When I lived in San Diego, I used to go to "Blacks Beach", which is the nudist section of Torrey Pines State Beach in LaJolla. It's interesting, and I like tanning all over. But on a ship? Would it be proper? Now, going on a cruise to a port that has a nude beach, that's one thing...and you have to think of hygiene...there is a reason for clothes and undergarments...an adult person's groin area has glands in it...certain, uh, odors could be left behind on the furniture. This is a known fact. I would not want to sit in furniture that a strange naked person has just sat in, not to be gross, but, come on!

Rex, there are plenty of people who wear clothes, but still leave behind certain odours!

I don't want to sit near them either!
