Does anybody know anything about Golden Sun Cruises. It is a Greek-owned operation with three cruise ships, AEGEAN I, ARCADIA and possibly the ex-SYMPHONY now AEGEAN SPIRIT.
There is also talk of a AEGEAN II

Thanks Guys!
It seems they only have the two ships at the moment. I think their site is better than many I have seen.

Golden Sun is at present negotiating to acquire TWO or THREE ships, not one. At present no names are being made public. Travel Page has my reviews of all three ships of the current fleet. All things considered they Golden Sun ships present a better choice than the old ROC ships, and since I am never in a hurry, the new one has little to attract me. Should Golden Sun get one or more of the ships under consideration, I think both shiplovers and cruise fans will cheer.

I think (but I am not sure) that AEGEAN II was first mentioned, but the ship got the name AEGEAN SPIRIT. It´s the former ENRICO COSTA, now wearing an dark-blau hull with a red stripe. I was the ship in June 2000 at Rhodes.

I also heard, that the ARCADIA will cruise in Canadian water from 2001. Will there be a replacement in Europe?

Sailed on the AEGEAN I in 95 as part of a package to the Greek Isles, when it was the AEGEAN DOLPHIN of the Dolphin Hellas Line. Perfectly acceptable little ship with good food, service, entertainment and optional tours. Would sail with Golden Sun again.
