This is a great site, informative and frequently entertaining - I enjoy it very much.
Cruise Lines,Cruise Ships, Ocean Liners etc.,Destinations,Ports etc. and Cruising with Kids posts each require a SUBJECT
At times we are all guilty of digressing from the subject that caught our attention – it’s easily done, e.g. the"Kids Only" and "75+’s" Topics.
SUGGESTION - LET’S ALL TRY HARD TO POST ONLY ABOUT and UNDER the SUBJECT.
Start a new Subject(referring back if necessary to the original) under the appropriate heading and let that dialogue run it’s course.
Happy cruising to all in 2000!

Green, this will only happen if everyone had the same view points on a topic otherwise digression is a form of progression in any topic.

Green, I think we should let the moderators keep things on track. They do seem to sleep at the switch at times however.
I dont have a problem with anybody querying something that has been input and asking clarification of the sender. I did this twice on the "no kids on board" topic and it worked in one instance.
The 75 plus situation and the passengers in the back of an airplane {kids on Board} totally lost me. In cases like this I tune them out as static. Otherwise lets leave it to the moderators to control things.

John Blake - as a newcomer to this forum you should know that we don't speak like that. If you haven't got something civil to say don't say it at all. You are very rude. If you don't like something someone says, just ignore it and forgo the comments. Thank you.

sorry John Blake, but I agree with sympatico.
But I also want to say a very big Thank-you to Joe Koshuta and Corinne who did a great job with installing this site and gives all of us the possibility to talk and exchange experiences and opinions about cruiseships, lines, itineraries and all what has to do with the industry.
Thanks again.

John, your reply was in bad taste. From your remarks I gather you might be a travel agent yourself. Well contrary to your belief we have appreciated the expertise of many travel agents/co-ordinators here and will continue to appreciate their input. Without their solicitation and I believe that that was the post that has stuck in your craw. We look forward to all types of advice but not open promotion of one's business. Enough said, let's get back to the posts and the cruise news.

Add my thanks to all that contribute to and handle and supervise this site.

I agree, Joe and Corinne are so fab for giving us this forum and giving us a chance to air our views on the best thing in the world - cruises. And I want to say sorry for that slightly confusing post in the Kids query. It was an example that worked in my head, but anyways... Also, where can i get that picture of the Volendam, it sounds interesting.

To finish I would like to tell Mr Blake to take his opinions elsewhere, and where I will leave it to your imagination. This is a friendly forum where we listen to and repect other peoples opinions. We do not want your nasty attitudes ruining this community, as i am sure you have seen with other posts on this query.

Paddy.

Paddy - to see the pictures I mentioned go to www.travelpage.com and then click on the pictures in the upper right hand corner of the Volendam and it will bring you to Joe's Cover Notes. Just click on each day and he has pictures there. The ones I was referring to were on the Sunday, Jan 2nd, I believe. They are really good. I notice that Joe has nothing posted for yesterday while they were in Key West. Guess he was too busy packing last night to send a post. They will be home today, I believe. We should make a new post and say "WELCOME HOME JOE AND CORINNE". Hope you find the pictures.

I also would like to thank Joe and Corinne on the excellent forum. It provides meaningful information. I stumbled on it accidently somehow, and it is on my agenda to read every night. Also thank you for taking the time on your vacation to send us the pictures and reports on the Volemdam. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Hi Paddy - I too am looking forward to Joe and Corinne's write-up on the Volendam.
For more pictures try http://www.skyscrapertours.com/voyager_of_the_seas.htm - you have to scroll through about 7 pages of VoTS but I think you find it's worth it.

Cheers.......

WE ARE USING AN EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINING TOOL. I BELIEVE SOME POSTMATES(I JUST COINED THAT WORD) ARE TAKING TO MUCH OWNERSHIP IN THIS SITE. I HAVE BEEN REAMED AND OTHER POSTMATES HAVE BEEN DRIVEN AWAY BY EXPRESSING THEIR THOUGHTS AND EXPERIENCES. I FEEL SORRY FOR OUR FORMER POSTMATE FROM FLORIDA THAT WORKED FOR CARNIVAL. POOR GUY REALLY TOOK A HIT FROM THIS SITE. BECAUSE OF THE RESPONCES OF SOME WE NO LONGER HAVE THE ENTERTAINING OR EDUCATIONAL RESPONCE THAT SOME OF US ENJOYED.

Sympatico, while I agree with your taste in expression, others might not. Also, what do you mean by "we". If expression must meet your approval to be included in this happy little family, I guess I'll be bowing out graciously. Please remember, some of our friends at Carnival don't necessarily have the 5th grade vocabulary at their disposal that you do.......oh oh ...incoming!!!!!

Watch out! Your all getting OFF TOPIC!
Green...I do agree with you. But it is human nature to comunicate this way.You get two women together and you can start talking about a good book you read and a half an hour later you are discussing the Lunar Ecplipse! It's a progression of thoughts. So, it's tough to stay on the original topic. But we all really enjoy your comments, Green. I will try to be good As to the very rude comment of the new member of our little cruise family. PLAY NICE! Barryboat ( or is it SHIP)... Where have you gone?

Sorry sympatico, our generation calls it humor. I forgot you are 65 plus.
Now, before I sign off for good, I'd like to say that if you all are having difficulty with the wandering subject matter why don't you narrow the subject? Suggestion? I can't think of a broader name.

I thought Blake's comment was humorous. You guys take things not only too personally, but too seriously. And then, you disagree with Blake, that's your right. But you break your own rule of discussing things not related from the posted topic.

Here's my two cents with the suggestion.
Why should anyone care if the discussion takes a different turn? You guys crack me up.
