I am travelling on the NCL Royal Majesty in 2 weeks and I am not hearing good things. First there was a fire on deck the first day it was in Boston. Then I heard yesterday that the toilets backed up and that the pool leaked into a number of cabins and 40 people had to fly back to Boston from Bermuda. I also heard that during the shakedown cruise of this Streched ship that they hit 2 storms and the workmen could not iron out the bugs! So should I bring my golf clubs or a life jacket? I anyone has the scoop or if you cruised on this boat please let me know.

Hi,
We too are going on NCL's Majesty. We have all heard about the first cruise. We went to Boston to talk to people getting off the ship after the second week. All were in the older part of the ship. They had a wonderful time- good food, entertainment, loved Bermuda. Only negative comments: 1) a bit rough coming home- took med and felt better.2) Dining room a bit crowded-staff nice but needs a bit more time to get used to working together.
All had a GREAT time. Would like to hear from someone in new cabins.
Oh yes, Le Bistro was open but not Pizzaria- could order pizza from room service.

We had 4 couples go on that cruise last September. The location is great. My favorite of all the places I have cruised. If this is your first cruise, you will love it. If you have been aboard RCCL, you will have the opposite opinion. First was the delay departing because the laundry was down and it had to be sent on shore. No towels before dinner. Then a service door outside our cabin had a broken closer which caused the door to bounce repeatedly when closing, annoying at 3 AM. My wife ended up with ear plugs to be able to sleep. It took 4 days before they fixed it.

I traveled on the Majesty the first week of May and had an awesome time. Bermuda is truly paradise. We had one of the new staterooms. It was roomy enough and pleasant. We experienced absolutely no problems with the exception of a billing issue that was resolved. It was rocky on the way down, but we thought the boat handled it well and we had extremely smooth sailing all of the way home. Have a great time!
