We've just booked our 1st cruise aboard MS Carousel. Then decided to look it up on the net! (nothing but bad reports)
Any more reports would be very welcome. Good or bad.We have two kids of 8&10yrs, anything worth them joining in with, whilst mum & dad soak up the sun?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Darren,

Snap - we have also booked our 1st Cruise for the Year 2000 with MS Carousel and like you have come across some bad reviews. I have taken this up with Airtours. The response was from the PA to the Managing Director who has just returned from her cruise on the sister ship Sundream (as a passenger). She said that she had no problems with the ship at all and had an excellent time! The bad reviews are from Americans who sail on bigger and better ships (4 to 5 star) whereas the MS Carousel is a 3 star. I was informed that I would have a brilliant time. Hope this helps. Do give me your review when you return!

Darren,
I have just replied to Natalie's query and will now reply to yours. I have just returned yesterday from a southern Carribean cruise on the MS Carousel (April 10th).
I found it to be an excellent value for the money.
Perhaps rather than retyping my reply, I could ask you to check out the reply i sent to Natalie. i saw her query before I saw yours. If you have any direct questions please post them here and I will try to answer them for you.
Incidentally there were a lot of children on board and they seemed to be having the time of thier lives.
Hazel

I hope I am not to late as i have only recently found this page. I cruised on the carousel last August and had the time of my life. Everyone was pleasant and friendly, the food was delicious and plentiful, the entertainment was entertaining for all the right reasons, and the tours were fab. There were many airtours regulars on board, including myself, which says a lot for the company and their ships. My only minor omplaint was our superior inside cabin was aft on A Deck, so was a little noisy. Try to find my other reviews on the Carousel and Seawing. The pool is seldom crouded, and although the area around the pool gets crouded quite early, the "Sports Deck" is a good spot. If you have kids they will LOVE it.

Darren

Have you been on your cruise yet. If so, what did you think?

If not, let us know when you are going!
