Thanks, I was just really trying a new site as Google Video seems to have died a death with new uploads this last week. It was amusing listening in on the bridge chat.

But poor 'ole Artemis, she really sounds like she has a bad case of creaky joints, cracks and bangs along with the vibration, aft, at slow speed; listen here, especially about 40" in.

All my Artemis pics and videos are now online. Various albums in the Galleries, with more and all the other ships [cruise, cargo, tankers, car carriers] & ferries seen here, with a few mor videos too.

Hey Pam, was she using her bow thrusters at the time this video was taken ?

I assume so Pascal as we were in the turning circle, turning for berthing. It was bad and worse that what is audible there, as if metal was grinding on metal, props tearing away at the hull

big cavities no doubt in shallowish water.

Gosh, she has aged a little.

I worked on her for a year 20 years ago as she was still Royal Princess and the pride of the Princess fleet.
Quite funny to realize she was considered huge at that time and during our first European season in 1989 we got a lot of attention.

I can't remember any vibration at all. I comes across the propellers are not in good place.

Haven't been back on board since 1991. But looking from the pics it is still more or less the same layout inside.

The loudest noise I've ever heard on a ship is when you're already in the garage of a ferry maneuvering in a port. When the bow thruster is working, it's like if the whole ship would colapse on you.
