IOTS did depart but went to Le Havre instead of Zeebrugge and will remain in LH tomorrow. AIDAsol has given Le Havre tomorrow a miss and arriving in Southampton early this evening instead, sailing to LH tomorow night; currently ploughing through 35kt winds. The forecast is that tonight and tomorrow morning will be the worst. Seems AOTS is however departing shortly and not sitting it out; She's just left for Cherbourg with an ETA of midnight:40... but although AOTS AIS still says Cherbourg, the Port Movements indicate she will be going direct to Vigo, which is probably correct]. - later 22:30 - She zipped across the channel at 20kts and is now sheltering to the east of Cherbourg. Too windy to round Finnistere at present.

How is it there Pam?? Be safe!

It was lovely this morning - a couple of photos of Crown Princess and AIDAsol who sat out the storm in Southampton.
..and one of roro EUROCARGO SALERNO who was towed to Southampton 4 Oct after breaking down off Selsey Bill and is still sitting there.
Here we had much wind, but we have had worse. Some trees came down, and one big scaffolding.
Sometimes I wonder how full the cruiseships are in Europe in October/November/December (barring Christmas). IT is about the worst weather you can have, and even in the Med the good weather disappears i think till Easter (wwhen I was in Greece once with Easter we had snow...)

I think perhaps the weather was worse on the Continent. Some of the news clips showed much worse weather over there. 2 ferries made the news, PETER PAN broke her moorings in Trelleborg hitting the opposite quay damaging a pod [report and pictures], while STENA ALEGRA was blown from anchor aground off Karlskrona [various reports and pictures]. Probably more than those 2.
