Hmmm, wonder if he's going by the Julian calendar or the Gregorian calendar (neither of which is mentioned in the Bible) but they're apart by about two weeks. Of course that's all based upon scientific fact, the rotation of the earth around the sun, etc., all of which have no accounting in his thoughts.

My advice is that we've all lived through so many "End of the World" dates over the past few decades, that we'll likely survive this one, too!

What is really meant by worlds end?
A huge solar flare that would burn the earth to a cinder?
An Atomic war?
Massive meteor strike?
Polar shift?
Famine?
Pandemic disease.

Except for the first one, the Earth will still be here only no life as we know it.
Our Universe is 4 billion years old and still expanding.
I believe in parallel Universes that possibly touch ours allowing space travel, this is possibly why there have been vistitations by aliens. Via worm holes.
WE never thought the speed of sound would be broken,I think the speed of light will also be broken.

The Julian Calendar is 13 days behind the Gregorian and has been so since March 1, 1900 (Gregorian). The lag will increase to 14 days on March 1, 2100 (Gregorian).

False Alarm! He really meant October 21st!

Instead of the world physically coming to an end on May 21 with a great, cataclysmic earthquake, as he had predicted, Harold Camping, 89, said he now believes his forecast is playing out "spiritually," with the actual apocalypse set to occur five months later, on October 21.

Before May 21, many believers quit their jobs, left their families and gave their savings to Family Radio, which then sent out caravans and put up billboards announcing the end. Evans, the Family Radio board member, says now that the date has passed, all they can do is pick up and move on

Just another religious scam to get money out of their frightened feather brained followers. Jesus, Allah, Yaweh, save me from your followers.

Coming from the book of Matthew 24:36: “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father."

The Bible also says: "
(2 Peter 3:10) 10 Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered.
From the Watchtower about the above verse:
*** 10 7/15 p. 3 par. 2 What Jehovah’s Day Will Reveal ***
“Jehovah’s day,” wrote the apostle Peter, “will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered.” (2 Pet. 3:10) What are “the heavens” and the “earth” mentioned here? What are “the elements” that will be dissolved? And what did Peter mean by the “earth and the works in it” being “discovered”? Knowing the answers to these questions will help us to be prepared for the fear-inspiring events that will occur in the near future."
To clarify "fear-inspiring, it doesn't mean mean as in fearful, but as in the word, awesome.

And as to the earth being destroyed, this information will prove useful. Again, please compare your Bibles:
*** Watchtower76 2/1 p. 71 Insight on the News ***
Astronomers have long argued over the origin and future of the awesome universe, and of our planet Earth. In recent years most of them have come to believe that the universe originated when a huge mass of material “exploded” outward. However, many have thought that in time the gravity in the heavenly bodies would pull them together again in a cataclysmic crash. That would, of course, destroy the earth and all life on it. Then, it was thought, that all the material would once more “explode” outward.
However, astronomers working independently of one another have recently concluded that this is not likely to happen. After fifteen years of research, Hale Observatory astronomer Allan Sandage and James Gunn of the California Institute of Technology state that the force of gravity existing is not enough to pull the universe back together. Gunn said that it had no more than one tenth the gravitational force required. Both scientists expressed amazement at the results of their studies. They declared that the idea of an infinitely expanding universe that would not destroy itself was “a terrible surprise” to them. But this is not surprising from the Bible’s viewpoint, since it clearly declares that the earth was not created “simply for nothing,” but was made “to be inhabited,” and would be “standing even to time indefinite.”—Isa. 45:18; Eccl. 1:4 "
A generation is going, and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite."

The earth is meant to remain, it will not be destroyed.

Yeah, the problem with picking out a date for the end of the world, is that it's never the same date around the entire planet at once. If you have localized event, then you use the date where that happened, but for a planet-wide event, it's always going to straddle two dates.

Sorry to upset the totally religious believers who disdain science, but at some point, science has to come into things!

The History Channel had a program recently about Gamma flares . When stars explode or collide huge masses of gamma radiation occur.
Even travelling at the speed of light from great distances the earth would be void of life ,yet buildings and structures would be intact.
Just another possibility.

That is why we have UTC (same as GMT), which is the Official World Time. Only 10 1/2 hours to go until it's officially October 22.

Yep, fake. And as far as we know; I don't think anyone took that serious either. Ashame, how people really don't look into the scriptures for sure to see if any of the things being said are right or not.

And for our British readers: Carry on, Camping (or, if you hit the paywall, via Google).
