As only the Brits can do the entire event was just amazing, full of grand ceremony, and everyone looked so beautiful and handsome. I kept saying 'wow' and actually had a few tears of joy.
I know a lot of Americans love anything to do with the Royal Family and it was so great to see them all on the balcony for the public kiss and wonderful flyover.
I am grateful that I had the opportunity to spend eight days in London and watching to coverage of the Royal Wedding brought back a lot of wonderful memories of my time there.
I guess Prince Harry is next? It's been amazing watching these two little boys grow into such amazing men. Thanks to everyone in England for such an amazing event.
Did any of our CT friends make it into London for the Royal Wedding?
I've been in London every week just about for the past two months but missed the wedding. I've seen all the preparation though. I leave for London again on Sunday so I guess I'll get to see everything being taken down.
London has been insane the past couple weeks, totally mobbed everywhere you go. I'm actually looking forward to things calming down a bit. It's also been too hot there. Last weekend when I was there it was 80 degrees. Just not how I think of London.

If you mean the one that Will & Kate took for a spin, it was a 1970 Aston Martin. It belongs to Prince Charles and it was given to him in 1969 by his mom as a 21st birthday present .

I was originally dubious about the whole thing. But I did watch it, and was really extremely impressed by everything. Not only the pretty pageantry, which this country can do very well; but also the genuineness of the match and the couple's obvious adoration of each other, which made the event very different from when William's mother and father were married. Almost despite myself, I have found myself wishing them well and looking forward to many good things to come from them.

I think England does 'pageantry' like no other country in the world. I too was wishy-washy about the whole thing but being awake already I tuned in and was quite impressed. Everyone was so well mannered and elegant. Well, except for those two girls that had those monstrosities on their heads. My roommate watched the re-runs on the TV and it was all about Pippa, and she looked stunning (my roommate kept saying she was 'hot') in the simple white dress unlike a lot of American bridesmaids that wear fuchsia or some other god-awful color.
I am sure the worldwide coverage will bring in plenty of rewards for those who never thought about travelling to London, and those who have already been, a reminder of what this great city has to offer. I would love to go back. Hey Ernie, of you have a spare ticket let me know!
