However, where in Spain? If Barcelona I would suggest you take the train, far more comfortable and faster journey. Train 'hotel' to Paris and the Eurostar to London, see here. No difference in price.

You can fly from Bilbao, Barcelona, Madrid and many other cities in Spain to London often for £50-60 pp (one way). The flying time is just a few hours. This probably explains why some of the ferry routes are struggling.
