Just got to be the best looking Newbuild on the block this year

Lovely, see here, and following 3 images. She commences service on 12 April, see Fakta om Fartyg for details and building photos. She looked a but 'odd' when under construction, but I love her livery now she's out in the open sea.

I do expect many to disagree with me though

There is no line with Tallink how they paint their ships. Horrible color

I agree it is almost as if they are continually experimenting with each new vessel to find a livery they wish to retain. At least they all have Tallink on the side.

A group of excellent photos of her maiden arrival [10 mins late] at Helsinki this morning can be found here. I really do think she looks smart and much nicer than the Dairylea Packaged Galaxy.

Side tracking.. there was a while back a mention of how few 'green' hulled ships there were around these days [a comment by Malcolm I think]. There are a number of container ships and tankers with green hulls, but no cruise ships in recent years, I can think of anyway. But along with Star, Media V [the Thoresen ex Viking I] now supports a stunning livery, oune certainly couldn't miss her on the horizon.

From Fakta om Fartyg. More pictures can be found here and also here. I think the green really suits. However, I could not imagine Liberty of the Seas or Arcadia for eg, supporting such a colour

Pam - Whilst I normally agree with you I think she looks like a Battenberg. And she has a horribly stumpy bow which IMHO ruins her otherwise lovely looks. I have never liked green ships - even Caronia's paint scheme, I think, was wildly over-rated. On the other hand I'd love more ships in Union Castle Lavender.

Its interesting to see a company experiment with different paint and designs. The green is growing on me a bit at a time.

Paint job aside, ferries are starting to have appealing exterior lines!

Well sadly it is now reported that EDI (ex MEDIA V) as pictured above, has been beached at Aliaga for scrapping.
