Shippax is reporting that Superfast X has been sold to SNCM. If true this would be interesting for 2 reasons. Firstly rivals Corsica Ferries bought one of the Superfast series only a couple of weeks ago, but secondly it surely spells the end of the Superfast Scotland route.

"Interesting" maybe, but also sad that the Rosyth route may be lost. Scottylass has sailed several times, and was a victim of the previous round of cutbacks, having to change her plans. Presently off on a[nother] jaunt; she will post when back home.

Hello Pam and Matts

It will be a sad loss for Scotland if we lose this link with Europe, it is a really nice ferry, and we have always enjoyed sailing on her, and the time it takes to get to Belgium works out great as it usually doesnt arrive until about 12.30 pm or later, which means you can have a bottle of wine and a drink without having to worry about getting up early and driving on the continent the next day. Its usually around 1300 hrs before you get behind the wheel.

It does look though from their website that they intend to replace the ferry with another one so we shall see what happens, we were pretty miffed when they cut the sailings down from every day, so lets hope that this isnt just another knife in the back from this Company, I think they should be made to pay back any money they got from the Government to set up.

This is what it says on their website:
