According to everything I've read it will take nearly as long on the ferry as it does to drive around Buffalo and on to Toronto by car.
Not the brightest, or best received, idea ever.
Have you ever tried to drive to Toronto from Rochester in the winter???? It's not easy! We have had to do it before and would really rather take a ferry than drive. The ferry is supposed to run year-round.
