Depends on the level of suite chosen. There is a separate line for those in the Penthouse, and grades S, SA, SB and SC. These are in the Deluxe Veranda Suite category. In short, anyone whose rooms grant Neptune Lounge status goes here.

Everyone else, i.e SS, SU, SY SZ and any other letter combinations in the Superior Veranda Suite categories checks in with the regular cabin people.

4 star Mariners may also check in using the special suite line as well no matter what level of accomodation chosen.

I called HAL on some other matters and asked about this topic.
They said all suite passengers have a seperate line for check in.
We shall see!!

I review my documents and found they had us set for second dining seating at 8PM.
NOT what was requested. When we booked in early June we requested open ( personal choice etc. dining) . Somehow HAL gave us this.
Our TA got it straightened out . We had guaranteed cabin assignment which possibly got this mixed up????
Anyhow check out your documents carefully as the fine print can sometimes be missed.

It shouldn't have been wrong, but if there was a mistake, at least it's better this way round. It's easy to transfer from fixed seating to open seating, but not always easy the other way.

When you line up to enter the terminal, there is a gentlemen standing there with the manifest. We just tell him our name and he checks to see what cabin/category we are in. If you are in a Deluxe Suite, he gives you a badge with a big red S on it to clip to your shirt/blouse or in your hair if you want .

After you go through the scanner, there are ladies there to direct you upstairs and others who when the see the S BADGE, seat you in a separate section of the waiting room.

They usually call the wheelchair people first, then those that need help and then those with the "S badges".

I don't remember if this happened when we had an SS/SY, but then I am a 4* Mariner and usually am sent to a separate check-in.

They still had us on main dining at 8PM. as posted on our cards. Got it changed onboard.BTW Deluxe suites only had express check in. Had to wait in the normal lines.
HAL was wrong in telling me all suite passengers went to the express lines.
Read my review on this cruise.
I don't think HAL will be on any future cruise plans.
Too many issues!!!!

Obviously I didn't properly read your post that you were in an SS Suite. If I had I would have told you in my previous post that only Deluxe Suites, SA, SB, SC, SZ suites are designated as DELUXE.

SS, SY are not.

Sorry I didn't forewarn you about this.

Diane

P.S. What ship were you on? I would like to read your review.
