It’s virtually impossible to build a replica Titanic. After all most of the cabins were very small, had multiple bunk-beds and no bathrooms/toilets. In fact the 700 steerage (3rd class) passengers shared two baths – one male and one female!
What about the lack of balconies – she had no theatre, no spa, no kids club and no space for formal entertainment at all.
If you provided all the modern comforts you would not fit many cabins into her 46,000 GT (almost a fifth the size of ‘Oasis’).
The lifeboats and davits would need to be provided(and twice as many) and modern radar etc. She would not look much like the original Titanic. Would people even want to sail on her, given the fares would be very high for this small ship.
Why not just build ‘giant’ Ocean Liner, oh they did, the Queen Mary 2.
