Whilst visiting Spain, I found this interesting Lego-type toy maker that will make my cousins mad since they can't yet do Airfix or Revell!
They already ask for QM2 and Voyager and I just got 2 Sea Dreams and QE2...Titanic will have to wait!
Any more liners in Lego forms?

I had Tente's like these when I was a kid, not quite as detailed as these, but still fun. I like the QE2 here, pretty nice.

Sorry to forget to mention the English button on the top right corner....I was glad to find it after struglling with my rusty Spanish!
The "Sea Dream" can be finished in many liners so I won't apply the portholes just yet.
I had to make her short for practical reasons(she did crash a few time already).
She is now in Leeward configuration..photos soon.
I wonder if Lego did liners?
Found a P&O ferry in a shop but there must be liners too????

My cousins are now very angry as I decided to keep the QE2 for myself and give them the Seadreams instead!
Uncle will pay for my next trip to Blibao and get him the Titanic!
Auntie wants sailing boat and looks like whole family wants something from Tente!
Theses toys have such a wonderful "educative" value as they quickly concretise your imagination.
Beware as my right hand side thumb went bloody after too many redesigns!
There is no limit to how you can finish the boat.
The upside down trick used for the forward superstructure inspired me for the "Leeward" style stern and now may be a "Dreadnought" stem!
It's simply fabulous!
One can estimate the right proportion without wasting expensive materials used in serious modelling!

This Tente stuff is much better than Lego - their ships are much more realistic. When I was a kid I had dozens of their kits, and would frequently demolish them and use the parts to build completely new ships. I wish I hadn't given it all away - I think I could come up with even better designs today

Onno,
That El Greco is from the same Tente I had as a kid. I created many a liner similar to that one. Oh what fun it was.

My El Greco was converted into a twin funnelled cruise ship with minor extensions to the superstructure forward and aft. Another favourite was Velasquez, a smaller passenger cargo shipthat also underwent a cruise conversion ala San Marco/Royal Star. Was there a real Velasquez at one time?

Onno!
Keep Angelina Lauro and Doria...give me El Greco instead!
I need the funnels!
So far my QE2 has managed to be more or less a QE1, France but want to make QM1 or Normandie too and not enough red and black stuff!
Go on, post the pictures of the almost completed QE2 and the "Evolutions"......
