In one year since I last posted this idea, some passengers have disembarked, and new ones came aboard. If the following cruise talkers were all on the same ship, this is how I would assign dining tables based on compatibility and interests from reading their posts.

People's internet personalities differ from their face to face personalities.

Since last year I gave myself all new tablemates just to meet with different people but still like my previous ones. If I have met you in person and not sitting with you, there are new people I am sitting with based on internet personalities.

2nd seating for all.

Lets count on a sunset pre-dinner libation on deck with everyone. After dinner cocktails in the forward observation bar .

Joe and Malcolm eat at each table on a different night of the cruise.

If I forgot anyone or you don’t like your tablemates I am sorry.

Desirod7,
Sounds good to me. Since I haven't met any of
the assigned pax sitting at your [our] table, I
think it's a good mix.
I am sending you an email on this topic.

Of course I'll sit alone in the officer's area of the dinning room, and just observe. I would work behind the scenes to make sure all of you have a wonderful cruise.

I don't see how I was put at the table I was with some of the people I was unless you want a table with nonstop arguing, people getting up and leaving in disgust, or a food fight (but that may very well be what you have in mind)!

P.S. would like a link to last years thread, I don't remember it. Tried to search for it, but can't find it.

You would be surprised at how different people are in person than on internet message boards.

CGT, the origianl cruisetalkers dinner table was in year 2001 and 2002. There are very few left from those days.

I know. That's why I mentioned it.

If I remember correctly you have a preference for Indonesian curry. My favourite is South African. Too bad there's no ship around that serves style-to-order curry.

Hey im in table two with great cruise talkers : Amerikanis, CGT, Mec1, Jamaica Jeff, Mr_Cunard, Pungpui, Brian_O !!! (all members I know). But what would I eat at the Dinner Table, I don't eat meat or fish..

I think I could be a good table mate since I love old and new ships, but I don't talk much in person, im kinda shy or very shy... well maybe after a few beers I will open up if some one is buying

Interesting. I'd sit anywhere, and I know the food and service will be superb.

Desirod7, I think there are a few more eager Cruise Talkers that would like to join us, would you be kind enough to add a table or two?

Bon appétit!

My companion and I have managed a table for six. We will be looking for another two couples of diverse gender makeup, age range (20 to ??), ethnicity and educational acheivement. to people out table. A bit of mystery wouldn't hurt either! Our goal an eclectic dining experience. More about people than food.

......Kenneth......two meals will take place in our premeir suite. See you on the PoA or QM2 (still undecided, though PoA seems a better choice at this time)

How would

Kenneth
Pascal

DMWNC1
Moodus2
Baker
Thulewx

as a table?

Bulbousbow, we have cocktails watching the sunset on deck before dinner, and aperitifs in the forward observation bar after dinner. Hash bar at midnight for those that would like to indulge. We can catch up with those we are not sitting with then.

6-8--- cocktails on deck
8-10--dinner
10----midnight libation foward observation lounge
midnight on---- hash bar
