A interesting story, but how does she know she was the first? By their very nature stowaways do not normally advertise the fact!
I suspect in these times of hightened security it would not be so easy? In fact it is not easy to get permission to visit a ship at all.
When I was a stowaway...I even had my own cabin...figure that one out???
I didn't, however, stay onboard for the whole cruise...just a portion of a cruise.
While onboard I participated in a passenger talent show on deck, I had cocktails on the bridge with the Captain during a semi-private party. I ate in the dinning room, and I even made a ship -to - shore phone call. The secret to my success was the fact that back then a passenger's pass to get on and off the ship was your room key. There was no high-tech security like there is today.
