I suggest that we try some different subject matter.

As a for instance, why could not cruise lines offer the optional service of putting all kids between the ages of six and sixteen in suspended animation for the duration of the voyage.

Surely this would make all cruisers with or without kids ecstatically happy.

Two, as for kids between 6 and 16, I agree in concept, but not execution:

Have escort service on cruisehips. Like marijuana on cruiseships, once into international waters, they can provide such, just like gambling.

Just think, all the rowdy teens will be busy learning about sex in a safe manner, and when done be too exhausted to be rowdy. It has been proven that rowdy behavior is pent up sexual desire.

Again, another profit center for the cruiselines.

The Carnival ships look like brothels anyway.

If cruiseships had escorts and hash bars, they would be so much more fun, and would attract new people to cruising who would otherwise never consider it.

Stay at home for one week.

Find a brick wall and pound your head agaist it during this period

After the one week, stop.

You will feel so much better after stopping and will also have saved your 450 pounds towards a trip with Airtours

I think that the ship and its destinations are complimentary.

Anything over 40,000 tons is not on my menu if it can be avoided. Whatever, nothing beats ones first cruise. Its like someone opened a new cookie jar.

It occurs to me that a lot of funny things happen on board worthy of telling. To start off let me try and share our most recent "funny".

Having boarded and unpacked, I found that we were one spare blanket short for the bed.
I called the steward and he went off to get one.
Minutes later, there was a knock on the door, I hollered, "come in".

Nothing happened. I went to the door to open it. I met with considerable resistance and impatiently gave a massive tug.

Presto, the door flew open and the room steward was propelled into the room with the front part of his dress slacks ripped open to the knee.
The look of sheer terror on the stewards face had to be seen to be believed.

What had occurred was that this older ship, "Pacific Princess" was equipped with the old style Yale type lock.

The stewards pass key was attached to his belt and pants by a short 18" chain. He had put the key in the lock simultaneous with my jerking the door open.The rest is history.

Topgun is already an experienced flyer & trained at an RAF base near here, over which we had some interesting correspondence at one time. Bet he's up there flying about, eating ice cream, watching the topless shenanigans whilst bemoaning the slobs & kids on cruises
