Hi,

Since joining this board, and reading the posts; I have had some belly laughs, even going back to the early topics of 1999.

Some are dry, zany, or witty in humor. Some are excellent foils for other's antics:

my vote in no particular order:

Malcolm
Desirod6
RuthPerk
Rex
Thulewx
Green
Gohaze

ROTTERBRANDT, I agree with most of your list. I am very flattered, that you included me.I am a little confused as I have a reputation as a rather dry, serious type, but if you think I'm funny, then thanks! The others on the list most certainly deserve to be there, Malcolm is the undisputed comedian in residence on this board.

Also, Amerikanis has an excellent sense of humour that I think is evident in all his posts.

No, I don't think so at all. All of us are serious sometimes !

People who don't really know me that well think the same thing but certain people find me very funny too... Usually I don't try to be funny, different things just hit people different ways though. I guess sense of humor is just a personal thing, obviously what one finds funny can be entirely meaningless to the next person.

I haven't read too many posts that were posted before I came here, haven't really got the time. But I agree that a good number of our posts might be characterised as "cruise humor."

I agree that Malcom is indisputably the reigning king of comedy here! He has started some bizarre, humorous, and, yes, sometimes disgusting threads ...

Happy Cruising,
Cruiseny

Rotterbrandt,

Thanks for the nomination!

I am known at work for my rather "warped" sense of humor (Thanks, Dad!). Actually, all of my siblings are warped in one way or another - my oldest brother is the worst out of the 4 of us!

I have to give my vote to either Desirod6 (that Simpson's episode was outstanding!) or Malcolm (the king of the outrageous threads).

Thank you Rotterbrandt

Ruth, you can co write with me the "Seinfeld takes a cruise" my next literary project.

Thanks.

Rex, you are the king of one liners on this board and clever retorts too.

Hey... I thought I had the patent on that idea ...

Pacific (or maybe Island) Princess was once on "Seinfeld" as Jerry's and George's parents both took the same cruise without knowing it ...

Happy Cruising,
Cruiseny

Thank you for the mention –

I’m usually considered ‘backward about coming forward’ –‘Dry’ - wit that is not always understood - low key, perhaps quietly humorous – and sometimes ‘witty’ and sometimes ‘droll’ as behooves my Scottish upbringing!

It’s true –
Malcom is our king of comedy - sometimes zany, perhaps?
Many bring levity and equally many offer sound advice.
PamM comes up with some great one liners – quick-witted lady, I’d say!…….
Topgun and others stir the pot!
Equally important, others give insight to values different from our own.

Posting on any board, it’s frequently difficult to reply and be understood as intended…..hopefully we all do our best.

TravelPage.com spans the globe – just remember, not everyone will have the same interpretation or, for that matter, use the same terminology.

Keep on posting………….and

Happy cruisin’

Though most people would think most of us (except perhaps some of the first-time-cruiser-asking-questions types) are funny in the other way ...

Happy Cruising,
Cruiseny

Are we talking funny "Ha Ha" or funny "peculiar"?

I'd probably do well in both categories!

Mr sread has given me a few good laughs. I also reglarly laugh at his newpaper!

My vote goes to Topgun.
You have to read inbetween the lines sometimes, but he cracks me up.

Gee, thanks for incluiding me - or is it just my location that's on the funny list ?
Oddly, I'm one of those people that everyone seems to think is fun and funny, but my type of sense of humor leaves me cold - I think. But then no one realizes I'm trying to be serious half the time - guess that makes me a half wit .
Sorry - couldn't resist...
