There has been a previous report she was for sale so it looks as if a buyer may have been found.
She could always be laid up in Southampton pending a buyer being found as happened many years ago with a couple of old passengers ships which were there for some time.
However in the P & O Cruises brochure which runs from March 2015 to April 2016, available in the UK, most of the other P & O cruises ship are only listed until March 2016 so with the large number of extra berths to sell now with the introduction of the ' Britannia' her future could be in doubt if not in the later brochure ! lol .

I wouldn't be surprised if they sold her as she doesn't fit with their other vessels anymore. That is a shame because the R class are nice ships.
On the plus side, at least she won't need to be painted up with that hideous flag on the bow.
