Cruising is normally all about 'fine dining'. Even the budget cruise lines at least try to offer some fine-cuisine.

Eating a Hot Dog, from a food-truck, must as far away from fine-dining as you can possibly get.

Royal Caribbean, as part of their new 'Dynamic Dining' system, on-board 'Quantum of the Seas', have come up with the following idea:

I don't know why this should attract your specific ire, Malcolm. Many ships have long had pizza stations! If I had to choose between eating pizza and starving to death, I would still have to think about it ...

I'm not sure why RCI is making a fuss over the Hot Dog truck (which isn't even a real truck!) They already have hot-dog stands on the OASIS-Class ships. I recently sailed on CARNIVAL BREEZE and they have a hot dog cart on deck; not sure if those are located on the other CCL ships, but nearly all cruise ships have had hot dog/hamburger grill stations for decades.
