Looks like Costa is getting a couple of new ships, smaller more luxury. By new I mean new to Costa.

IMHO, great idea to scale back the number of balcony cabins on ships that are being purpose built for longer, more luxurious cruises

I'he been on the neoRomantica last month, and liked a lot of what they did with the ship. She's now very better then the rest of the Costa fleet.

This article suggests Costa Classica may also join the neoCollection at the end of next year, but as her refit is a share of the mere 10m euro being spent on her along with Costa NeoRiviera and Costa Voyager I can't see much is going to be done comparing to the 90m Euro spent on neoRomantica. I did not like Costa Classica with her "cold" stairwells and dismal lido buffet area with windows covered by lifeboats, along with Spinach served at *every* meal, so she will need more money spent on her - perhaps after the TAAJ charter?

There was a brazilian release from Costa about the maintance and renovation of neoRiviera, Voyager and Classica, saying this last was going to join the neoCollection too. I thought it was wrong since in other languages the release didn't said this, but now I don't know...

I travelled on Classica back in 2007. At the time, I also didn't enjoyed, but it was before I know the new ships like Magica! Now I see her with other eyes, especially after knowing too the neoRomantica last month. Anyway, I also had this impression of the stair, corridors, and ambiences generally they are all cold and dark. There's not many windows, and when there are, they are too small, sometimes even with boats covering them. !
