an amusing tale and great photos - HOWEVER, very much not worth the visit due to the annoying and amazingly powerful barrage of pop-ups that erupt like Krakatoa if you click on anything, including photos.

Ahh, the joys of "blogspot".

Concerning to Pop-ups, if you use Google Chrome it usually only opens one pop-up page...minimize them (don't close) and continue... :-)

Barconauta,

I do use Chrome and also have a powerful pop-up blocker from my anti-virus. I was surprised at this but have learned to expect very little from Blogspot. Ever since it went "commercial", there are very few blogs on this service that I will visit anymore.

Maybe it was a country definition. In Portugal i haven't prblems visiting "blogspots" Some of them have pop-up and advertisement but in "supporting" limits :-), one or two pop-ups...
In Portugal "Blogspot" is the most popular "personal sites"...

Very odd, I have others telling me their anti virus is working overtime on your page and the pictures won't load, but I don't have any problem and not a single pop-up. What does anyone else in the UK get? (I use Chrome too and Firefox, which tells me it "prevented this site from opening a pop-up window", but I don't have any problem with the pages).

I have never had a problem with the pop-ups. That is because I have never been able to load the page. I always get, "site not responding". I gave up long ago

I'm on Chrome, and I got nothing - not even a pop-up warning.

I do use a HOSTS file, though.

I am using IE 10 and I cannot get the page to load. I get a long running script error and then IE crashes.
