Royal Caribbean just announced that they have signed with Meyer Werft to have a 3rd Quantum Class ship built. It is set to be delivered in mid-2016. Interestingly that is the exact same delivery estimate attached to Oasis3, wonder how they will deal with that much new tonnage that close together.

Based on Adam Goldstein's comment:
"The Quantum class will offer vacationers more unexpected activities in the most extraordinary spaces, and a third ship will offer even more opportunities for vacationers to experience Quantum cruising."
I don't think this third ship will feature any changes to the design even though it will be 15 months after the second one.

They made a comment about "The new design includes a greater proportion of higher-priced staterooms and will achieve some of the greatest energy efficiencies at sea ..."

It was not entirely clear if this is the class of ships or specifically #3.

Expect to see the Quantum-class deployed worldwide.

The Captain of INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS told a Norwegian newspaper the other day, during the ship's maiden call at Kristiansand in southern Norway, that they were 'testing' some ports in the region in preparation for the Quantum-class.

Well I haven't really expected that. I was kinda hoping Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas will be only ship of the class making them special.

Makes sense as they say the design is built for cooler climates like the 'Radiance' class.
