Just watched her pass under the bridge and into Lower Bay on the cam. Quite a sight! She was lit overall so her profile was pretty clear to see.

I did notice that her aft decks seemed to be bathed in smoke from her little stack. No doubt that at night the lights can distort things on web cams, but the smoke stayed with her all the way.
When I first saw the ship I wondered how exhausts that were almost even with the top deck were supposed to get the smoke up and over the deck. Isn't that the purpose of a smoke stack?

I will be curious to see how this "stackette" works out.

Great pic of a not so great looking ship. I wonder if there are retractable exhaust pipes on that stubby funnel?

I hope not - or do you want to see them even more retracted?

The funnel and the surrounding area are definitely the weak link of her exterior appearance.

Those are great photos, Pam. I certainly enjoyed looking at them, but I've never heard of the M.V. PETER MAX. Is she new or something?

Smoke was not a problem on her TA. I have a complete review (the good, the bad and the ugly) in a couple days.

Saw a video of her departing NYC today and she put out quite a bit of smoke for a short period while backing out of the slip. Did not look very pleasant for the passengers near the funnel.

I didn't see any passengers moving away from the smoke in that clip so perhaps it had moved away from her before being blown downwards; can't tell from the angle it was taken or know the wind speed/direction. But do wonder why the heavy black smoke even if just for a short time.

Is her funnel actually smaller/shorter? Or just appearing so with all the paraphernalia around about?
