Oh dear, that looks bad! I knew she was having a refit, but I didn't know they were going to do all that!
as for "Splendour of the Seas", the addition of the balconies on deck 6 makes her rather top-heavy, so the ducktail is required in order for her to continue to be compliant to mandatory stability standards.

I tried to take some pictures of the Oriana in Drydock for you. I haven't had the possibility to get a further look of the ducktail but I will try the next few days. Well I don't know but I have seen a lot worse ducktails out there. Hope the best.
