I know shes going through an renovation from this winter and until spring 2011I would be very happy if anyone have some info were she is and who doing the renovation and if possible from what month and when she is finish....
My company has chartered the ARION during October and the captain told me that he heard that the FUNCHAL is to be chartered by Metropolis Tur in 2011, but finally after the bankruptcy of Hansa Kreuzfahrten, they took the PRINCESS DAPHNE, so the FUNCHAL remains longer in renovations and should then go on cruises departing from Lisbon in autumn.

This summer 2012 Metropolis Tur is really chartering FUNCHAL. She is going to do 6 cruises for the Russian company. First cruise is going to depart 21.6.2012 from St. Petersburg. The fourth cruise is a cruise from St. Petersburg to Novorossijsk on the 10.8. The seasons last cruise for MKruiz is going to arrive to Novorossijsk on the 2.10.2012.
Before starting her Russian charter, Funchal is going to perform 6 cruises from Göteborg, Sweden starting 20.4. The last cruise will end in Göteborg 17.6.2012.

I wonder if most of the interior work has been completed such as removing the interior woodwork onboard as well as installing new cabins and bringing her up to the latest SOLAS requirements. I read that she will also have her hull painted black (as she had when new) and have a larger logo attached to the funnel.
