We are now in Ft Lauderdale. Friday we saw Jewel of the Seas, Noordam, Westerdam and Zuiderdam.

Today we saw Carnival Freedom, Celebrity Constellation, Crown Princess, Eurodam, Navigator of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas.

Tomorrow (Sunday) we sail from from Miami on Carnival Valor. I wonder of anybody from Miami would be so kind to take some pictures of the leaving of Valor. I would realy appreciate it.

I'll put some pictures I took on here later.

hi Aad,

thank you for your lovely pics, i hope you do enjoy
your stay over there

the pics also painfully show me that there is not
much to get excited about when i judge these
monster giga passengerships from an
exterior point of view, in the
knowledge that many thousand people on board
enjoy a wonderfull cruise

regards
b. Joe

A great series of photos, Aad. I arrived into Port Everglades yesterday morning aboard CROWN PRINCESS, and saw the same procession of ships coming into the port about 11-12 hours before you got them leaving again.

Thank you for posting your pictures, which I enjoyed looking at. I was particularly interested in the pictures of the HAL ships. I enjoyed my cruise on Arcadia, and it's interesting to see pictures of her sister-ships. (Although Eurodam is more of a first cousin, perhaps.)

Great pics Aad!

I may decide to go to South Beach today, and if I do I'll be sure to take pictures of your departure.

It's a very busy ship day today in South Florida.
There are six ships lined up at the Port of Miami (which I didn't even know was possible with today's mega-ships).
LIBERTY OF THE SEAS
CELEBRITY INFINITY
CARNIVAL GLORY
CARNIVAL VALOR
NORWEGIAN PEARL
NORWEGIAN STAR

Not to be outdone, there are 8 ships tied up in Port Everglades today.
RUBY PRINCESS
MSC POESIA
ALLUE OF THE SEAS
COSTA ATLANTICA
CARNIVAL MIRACLE
CELEBRITY SOLSTICE
NIEUW AMSTERDAM
CORAL PRINCESS

Great photos Aad. There seemed to be a HAL party at Port Everglades, they can say they had more passengers than Oasis. BTW, how did you like Oasis, she and Allure are impressive to see. Enjoy your cruise on the Valor, unfortunately I won't be able to take pictures today.

No, not yesterday, it was too dark, but I have tons of photos of her anyway. I was off the ship at 7:15am, it was just getting daylight, and in the car and on my way home by 7:25am. (One of the nice things about having so many ships in your own back yard!)

Sorry Aad. Doesn't look like I will make it today for the parade down Government Cut. I leave on a business trip to Atlanta tomorrow and will be gone for two weeks, so I just have too much to do.

Bon Voyage and enjoy your cruise!

Ernie, dress warm as it's cold up here. We are heading to Disney on Thursday and hoping for a little warmer weather.

Aad, thanks for the photos. They are great and I love looking at any ship regardless of size. Have fun on the Valor

We will be in FLL next month and arrive on the 7th and there are four ships leaving out that evening. Seven the next day and then seven ships when we leave out on the 9th.

I see that! I'm not looking forward to the cold weather. I honestly LOVE my South Florida weather, especially in the Winter. Where else do I need to run the a/c in December, January, and February!? LOL

In late January I head to Minneapolis for 20 days, not returning home to Miami until mid-February. Talk about COLD! I'm already cold just thinking it. Brrrr! It's kind of sad I live in the city with probably the warmest winter weather in the continental US, and I'll be heading to probably the coldest spot during the dead of winter. UGH!

Have fun at WDW. We were there over Thanksgiving and had a great time. It was crowded but not too bad. It should be empty (by Disney standards) while you are there. One of the slowest times is between Thanksgiving and Christmas, or early December. We are Florida resident annual pass holders now, so we will be heading up to Mouse Land even more than we do now. Disney only comes second to my love of cruises! A cold snap is hitting South Florida this week, with temperatures on Tuesday only reaching the mid-60's, and lows to about 40 (very cold for here). Orlando will probably be a bit colder.

Ernie
