Pullmantur's newly renamed HORIZON (ex PACIFIC DREAM) arrived in Gibraltar this morning en route from Barcelona to Recife, Brazil. We are having a bit of a "Pullmantur-fest" here at present as EMPRESS has been laid up and undergoing routine maintenance since 10 November and a couple of days ago, ZENITH arrived for bunkers en route from Piraeus to Recife. During the next week, we expect SOVEREIGN to call also on her way to Brazil.

While Pullmantur traditionally never carries passengers on its Transatlantic repositionings, ZENITH was carrying 23 and HORIZON has 7!! Both have a full crew of over 400. I am also surprised that HORIZON's funnel does not have the Pullmantur logo and remains as she was as PACIFIC DREAM. Does anyone know why?

Hi to all, It has been a long time...

The few passengers onboard are likely technicians or representative from the head office... However, they are not technically crew members and are hence officially considered for customs and immigration as passengers, even if they are onboard to work.

It may be as well crew family members.

Regarding the funnel, they perhaps simply hadn't the time to paint it yet.

So you have HORIZON, ZENITH and EMPRESS all there at once? I enjoyed all these ships in previous lives.

I thought Horizon was laid up until sometime next year with an engine problem? I wonder if she is back on her schedule for 2011?
