I had seen this on another board, a discussion centered around the arrival of ALLURE into Florida for the installation of Central Park and staging for Travel Agent cruises and her naming ceremony before the Dec. 1st 4-night pre-inaugural. There is a likelyhhod that these two giants (Oasis and Allure)will be in Port Evergaldes for at least one or two meetings before they go their separate ways?

The question is whether the terminal can handle that large number of passengers. I doubt it. Seems like on our cruise on Equinox the terminal was full. We had to wait till they sanitized the ship(Noro).
I also wonder did the ever update the restrooms as there were complaints about not enough facilities and dirty conditions??

I could see them staging her for pictures with the Oasis as she sails into or out of Port Everglades but I doubt we will see them both in port at the same time. Based on the Oasis arrival they were able to cut time out of the Central Park installation and get it done in 5 or 6 days (including arrival day). With experience they should be able to do it even faster now. I could see her arriving on a Friday, getting inspected and then sailing out to sea for the evening to get photos with Oasis as she arrives and departs before pulling back in for Installation Sun-Thu and a pre-inaugural Fri-Sun. They could also bring her in on a Sunday and be done with CP by Fri in order to leave before Oasis but I don't think they would get as much media on a weekend, may be bigger in person crowds though.

Maybe someone with information on the Pt. Everglades contract could give some details but it sounded as though they may have a deal to have her docked for the installation without paying (or paying much). The RCCL blog sounds like they will not have either ship docking anywhere but terminal 18 while they are here so I doubt they want to dock at another terminal and pay the fees involved in occupying the spot.

I agree, it's doubtful that both ships would be in port at the same time--there is only one berth dedicated to those vessels anyway.

Most likely we will see OASIS sail out on Sat. Nov.27th, with ALLURE arriving soon after that. With experience gained on the first ship, ALLURE can be quickly fitted with the final touches and off on her pre-Inaugural cruise. OASIS returns for the day on Sat. Dec. 4th, in and out, then ALLURE comes back on Sun. Dec. 5th and turns around for her first 7-day cruise.

Don't you think that RCCCL will still have at least 2 Travel Agent cruises for maybe those that werent invited the first time around? I would have thought Allure would arrive just before Thanksgiving? That to allow fiting out of Central park and any TA cruises before the 12/1 cruise?

CONGRATULATIONS!!! And Welcome to Cruise Talk!!!

Assuming now that Central Park will be installed prior to the Nov. 23rd cruise, and that it would take several days, that puts her arrival into FLL around the 17th?
