I would like to go but I don't think it will be possible. Hopefully the weather will be better than today. It rained almost all day. Very dreary.

Anyway, EPIC will be in Miami every Saturday for a long time. I'll be sure to grab some photos soon, maybe even this Saturday.

She's getting into Miami a bit later than scheduled. Looks like she will get in around 5:00 PM.

Here are some shots of her arrival from my hotel.

Beautiful pictures Joe!!!! Somehow she just looks more at home there in Florida with the palms and the sand than anywhere she has been so far! Hope to see more pictures of her arrival.

A very nice image.

It is interesting that epic does not have pods. (The CEO said in Barry's interview that this was because a the time the ships design was being draw up, there were doubts about the reliability of some pods).

Stephen Payne, talking about the QM2, said he would not have dreamed of building a ship that big without pods. Epic is of course a very simmilar gross tonnge.

There hasn't been a ship with pods to come out of St. Nazaire since the MSC Opera. I've always wondered if there was an agreement in place as part of the yard's sale to Aker that Alstom, who sold the yard, would be the sole supplier of po

Those are window cleaning devices; there are several more to be seen, as well. One is down aft on the stern, one is way forward up near the bridge, etc. All new ships have these things.

It is actually interesting to see them in operation, Some of them are totally autonomous and clean on their own. Most have a carriage railed in area for 2 or 3 persons....who do the cleaning f the windows.
