For me personally I am a ship geek. I love cruising and the industry as a whole because I like ships so much. In fact loved ships before I was even really aware that there was a cruise industry.

The passengers make a cruise. One could put the Cunard Winter Crossing Club on the Clipper Pacific, Perla, or any other ragtag 70's ship and would be a fun time.
This summer I had a wonderful time cruising on a 1902 tugboat called the Jupiter. It was converted from steam to diesel after WWII with a 1000hp navy surplus submarine engine.Jupiter Tug Boat restoration
I love ships (especially old ones) including ferries, but I also love cruises & cruising & it is a great way to see the world (bits of it anyway).
