Apparently, Mona Lisa has been chartered to provide worker's accomodation during the Olympics. She will be docked in Squamish which is north of Vancouver and close to Whistler ski resort, and provide bus driver's accomodation and meals. Arrival is early January, and will be used until very late March.

Anyone know if this is true?

Grant,

while I cannot confirm this, (unconfirmed) reports of her being used during the Olympics have been circulating here in Germany for several weeks.

Interesting she is being used as bus drivers accom. The standard of accommodation on board is then below that which people would pay good money for ? Not sure it bodes well for her supposed future as a hotel - unless there is a lot of bus drivers in Sweden.

Jeff - I agree - this will be great for us on the Wet Coast. I hope she makes an appearance in Vancouver before had though as I wonder it what the S2S Highway will be like running up to the Olympics in terms of passability.
