These are the ships and sailings I wish I could have sailed upon but didn't. "Regrets... I've had a few..."(props to Sinatra):

- Original Royal Viking trio to North Cape in the late 70's
- Sea Venture (flagship) cruises on her early years to Bermuda
- Transatlantic on the France
- Original Royal Princess on the Panama Canal run
- Norway during her maiden season
- Home Lines Oceanic on the Bermuda/Nassau route
- Pacific Princess to the Mexican Riviera (Love Boat run)
- SAL Kungsholm to anywhere
- Festivale when she just launched (I thought she was so huge at the time)
- Matson liner to Hawaii

...and QE2 Trans-Atlantic of course... coupled with a Concorde return flight.

Nice choices! I've most of them, although on some different routes. Never did Matson or Festivale Did France, but never Norway.

To this day I regret not having sailed on the Sun Viking. I loved the Song of Norway and Nordic Prince.

Does anyone know of a comprehensive online photo gallery of Sun Viking's interiors?

If anyone has their own collection of her interiors, I would be williing to pay to have a CD sent!

Regrets for sailings I COULD have done, but did not:
1.) Last crossing of STEFAN BATORY from Montreal in 1987--several friends on board, but I let work interfere with vacation plans.

2.) ANY sailing on SEAWIND CROWN--I was too cheap to fly to Aruba, instead choosing to sail lots of classic ships from South Florida.

3.) A crossing on EUGENIO C-- she came to Miami every year in the '80s, I just never took the time and money to do a repo on her.

I did sail on most of the other classic ships which operated through the '80s and early '90s, so my regrets are fortunately few.

My biggest regret is missing QE2s last tandem crossings with the QM2. I had paid and was booked on them but in the last few weeks before I had to cancel.

I managed voyages on QE2, Norway, Festival, Oriana, Canberra and Kungsholm (sailing as Sea Princess and Victoria) but did miss a few classics that are now gone. My list includes:

1. almost sailed then passed on P & O's Arcadia during her last season out of Sydney.
2. a few more voyages on Fairsea/Fairwind before Princess got their claws on them
3. Meridian or on her previous career as Galileo.

One that I regret not doing was the "Around South America" on Britanis. I didn't have the time when she was doing these. Another was "The Five Continents Cruise" on Vistafjord before all the sadly added additions and the increased number of pax.

I would have loved to sail on the Canberra and Oriana, out of Vancouver, in the '60's.

Another I sadly missed was Oriana. I did Canberra once, but never did Oriana. Fortunately, I can still do the new Oriana.
