Estasy will receive her clip on balconies during her dry dock in September, Fasination in January. Thus joining Sesation as the ugliest Carnival ship ever. I fully appreciate the revenue issue but why at the total detriment to any sort of taste.

My late husband and I sailed the SENSATION in '98 and now...I have to say it, it really makes her look very unappealing. Even if they gave me a free ticket, I would'nt go on her.

I too have been on SENSATION. Yes, the balconies are pretty bad, but not really as hideous as all that. I'd still go on her.

It doesnt look that bad. In fact a friend of mine went on the Sensation last month. He booked one of the balconys and he said he enjoyed the cruise the room and the balcony. What I woulld have done if I was in charge I would have made the balconys connect instead of have a huge gap in the middle. That would have made it look better.

When you look at it close up and with your eyes slightly squinted it doesn't look that bad. But when you step back and look at the whole ship its pretty bad in fact the balconeys, if not the whole ship, are just plain ugly.

Not good for a class of ship that already had delicate looks.

My husband and I sailed on Sensation in December of 2004 for our honeymoon. The ship really needed some work - some of the public rooms were hideous. Many of the rooms in the centrum area were never used during our cruise. The additional balconies give her a different profile - I don't know if I like them.

Arinson is all about balconies and making money. That has been apparent since the building of the Queen Mary 2. You can't have a ship without balconies...

Why didnt they just clip the balcony frames onto the entire ship and not just a select few cabins. Seems like a waste of time and money to do it to a handfull of cabins and not the rest.

In reality allot of cruise ship cabins on ships like them are quite substandard and inferior to land based hotels, so cruise ships have to offer more to make them more appealing.

Some of the best 5 star hotel rooms around the world do not have a balcony, but they have bathrooms literally bigger than a standard cruise ship cabin. Allot of hotel rooms have allot more facilities and higher quality fixtures and fittings than most cruise ships I have been on.

Honestly, these balconies look like something you'd expect to see on a Philippino ferry. Cheap, poor quality, lacking any design integration or foresight. Terrible.

I agree. Up close, the balcony looks alright, but the whole ship it looks pretty bad. But from far far away, the balconies seem to blend in.

At least paint the poles/dividers for the balconies. Pam got it right when she said it looks like a scaffolding. The bare stainless (?) looks kind of tacky.

Think it look awful. I thought when the first pictures emerged they where fotoshopped. But it was real.
