Me and my family sailed on the Norweigan Majesty for the second time. We first sailed nine years ago out of Boston to Bermuda. This time, we left Baltimore for Bermuda. The ship has been maintained well. It did not appear in any different condition than nine years ago.

I truly enjoyed the size of the ship and the crew. Since there are only approx. 1400 passengers, you are able to see people more than once. I heard that they sold this ship. I am sorry to see that the cruise lines are only going to mega ships.

Ships will no longer dock in the town of Saint George since they are all too large. I felt that docking in the town added a lot to the cruise. I will miss this ship. I have been on larger ships and I do like them, but this ship seams to be the right size to me. There are plenty of things to do.

I thought I would miss the promenad deck that I experienced on our last cruise on Royal Caribbean, but I did not. Sailing on the Norweigan Majesty was great

Actually starting in 2010 and in 2011 Holland America will sail the Veendam from NYC to Bermuda calling at the small ports in Hamilton and St. George. The ship is on the small side and a bit bigger then the Majesty. They just gave the Veendam and extensive refurbishment so I am sure you would find her a viable option.....Holland America even offers flexible dining its not freestyle like NCL but it is close. I too miss the ship's calling at the Bermuda small ports I used to sail the old Chandris - Amerikanis and Galileo from NYC in the late 80s and then I saild the Horizon and Zenith when Celebrity sailed to Bermuda. But now the big guys use Kings Wharf but at least we will still have a ship that hits the small Bermuda ports...I will try sailing on her in 2011.

I will miss the Norweigan majesty very much. Glad to here she's being kept in such good shape even with it's upcoming transfer. I especially enjoyed her itineraries out of Charleston to Grand Cayman and cozumel. I don't forsee us going on another NCL cruise for quite sometime now that my favorite ship and itinerary is gone. Does anybody know anything about her last cruise with NCL. I read somewhere that she was going to do a 14 day southern Carribean cruise but nobody at NCL knows anything about it.

I can't say I'm sad that she leaves NCL as she will be homeported in Marseille all year long as Louis Majesty.
She will be a new interesting & decently priced option for the French cruise market.
But I was wondering, aren't her cabins a little bit small ?

My late husband and I sailed her just a few months after we visited her as she was fresh from the shipyard in the fall of '92. Just a few months after Hurricane Andrew slammed into Homestead, FL. She belonged to a subsidiary of of Dolphin Cruise Line, it was Majesty Cruise Line then and was called the ROYAL MAJESTY, very beautiful; easy to get around. Loved the atmosphere.

The last scheduled cruise is Oct. 24; Philly to Bermuda.

Are you saying there is another cruise after that?
