Sorry even Princess' own Grand Class ships just don't look as bad as Ventura, I think it is the glass and obviously the most ridiculous funnel treatment ever invented but somehow she looks more "squeezed" ?
I know it is supposed ot be about what is inside, but you still have to walk along a pier to get on board.
The Princess ships look fantastic compared to Ventura. If they (P&O) would just have left the "bar" continue and paint the entire funnel gold it would look fine. It just looks unfinished.

I just don't see it. The differences between Ventura and, say, Ruby Princess are minimal; almost invisible. But for some reason, on board after board, Ventura is constantly criticised yet the Princess ships are not.

There's nothing wrong with a G-String (on a pretty woman).
I think this is why she appears more bulky because your eye is drawn onto the glass which of course is all over the ship - of course the bloody funnel as well................
And the funnel...please. I think they didn't bother to change the design for two reasons: 1) to save money. 2) so she could be transferred to Princess at the first signs of a slow down in the UK market.
Awful.

Agree with the first reason - and what's wrong with that? What's your evidence for the second? I could argue that Ruby Princess, etc, are like Ventura so they could be transferred to the burgeoning UK cruise market in the event of a US market slow-down....
There seem to be a lot of P&O faithfuls who have been disillusioned recently. I think the newbuilds and change of direction has alienated some regulars. Maybe Azura is an attempt to win them back?
