Quite spectacular !
And following reference to the incidents in my blog, I was contacted by a passenger who said she was the travelling companion of one of the passengers taken to hospital.
Turns out she was not injured falling on the ship, but had tripped and fallen in the cafe at Dover station.
She thought her injuries were minor, and boarded the ship. where she was found to have a broken ankle and a broken elbow which required surgery.
Another contact tells me her sister is on board with her husband. This was their first cruise, and is now likely to be their last.
Hope the weather is kinder today in Cherbourg.
Incidentally, looking ast full-sized versions of Jose's pictures at shipspotting.com, it's possible to see a number of passengers out on the open decks. Brave or foolhardy?

She is due back in to Dover on the morning of the 27th January.
It looks as if they are picking some sheltered inland ports for her to berth at, after the rough weather earlier in this cruise..
It a pity they do not also use Southampton instead of Dover.
Bad weather at Dover resulted in a collision between Balmoral and one of her attending tugs on the 17th December 2008 when she was trying to get into port.
Both vessels were damaged !
