Carnival Dream design is indeed better than previous Carnival ships. But, for the same tonnage, I prefer the design of the MSC Fantasia

I like the bow of the MSC Fantasia, but think her stern and aft superstructure are pretty ghastly. The Carnival Dream has a pretty elegant stern and a gently decending aft superstructure. Her whole aft section is nicely curved as well. In general she seems to have lost a good deal of the angular nature of the Destiny Classes.

This may be my next cruise. There's a 2-day Cruise to No-Where next Fall out of NYC. Might be fun?
I just hope her interiors don't follow CARNIVAL SPLENDOR. That ship has to have some of the worst interiors I have seen in a long time, even by Carnival standards. I am one who actually defends Carnival interiors for the most part. I find them amusing and I realize a lot of thought goes into them. Unfortunately I found nothing appealing about those on SPLENDOR. There is only so much you can do with pink circles. The center pool area looks like a throwback to the 80's. Just not appealing in any way.

It just takes a little imagination. Imagine if the same thought went into the QV's exterior design as an example. We could have had a ship that looked a bit more retro-liner
