Mano Cruises announced officialy about the debut of hr new ship "Golden Iris" (ex. MSC Rhapsody)
It is still unkown if Mano will still operate the IRIS.
I've talked to personels on Mano and according to them , there is a strong possiability that Mano will operate all 3 ships (Royal Iris , Golden Iris and Iris)
As there is a strong demand for cruises on the fast growing Israeli market.

Thanks Elad.

Has Mano given any details of what cruises she is likely to do and when she is due to enter service? MSC still has all her South African and Mediterranean itineraries through till next autumn.

The time frame appears right insofar as if RHAPSODY arrives back in Genoa from Durban on 25 March, she could be handed over to Mano, be refurbished and available to begin a new career in time for the summer season.

Makes sense, so now who gets Melody ? It is already confirmed that she will not be in South Africa for the 09/10 season as we are getting Sinfonia. It stands to reason that she must be going soon.

Dear Claudio - Mano Cruises is not a religious company (Israel itself is not a religious country except few aspects ...)
Due to this , everything onboard is 100% normal
Ships usually never stop all engines once pax are all onboard as part of the engines is dedicated to electricity , water making and more....

The only religious aspect that Mano is respecting are:
- Kosher food
- on rear occasions Mano is operating a dedicated cruise for religious .

Mano has finally published the cruises for the year 2009 in their homepages. The Golden Iris will be departing Haifa to her first Mano cruise 31.5.2009 and her cruising season continues until the end of December.

Royal Iris will begin her season already 2.4.2009 and will have her last cruise of the year at the end of December.

The Iris is also listed at the cruise calender and she will be having her first cruise for the year from Haifa 4.6.2009. Her last cruise of the year is listed to depart Haifa 27.9.2009. She is also listed to have one cruise 17.12.2009, but maybe there is a mistake at the cruise calender...? Or will she be laid up for October and November and the beginning of December just to have one cruise again in december...? In the Mano cruise calender there are also few holes in the middle of the summer season. Has Mano still some unpublished cruises for her, or will she maybe be taking up the Odessa - Haida service again? Or has Mano choosed to cruise her only at carefully selected dates...
