The number of talking ads are getting larger and becoming more of a pain. I know that the site has to have ads but can't something be done about the talking ads?

I think the frequency varies based on where you are coming from and other variables. I cannot block all talking ads but can block individual ones after they start. If you can let me know which ones are the most annoying I can look to block them.

the only talking ones i get are the smileys that talk at me, i remember a while back there was a mosquito one that really annoyed myself

I know I've said this before, but it's worth saying it again: Ads? What ads? I see no ads.

But this is merely a side benefit from keeping most spyware and nastiness off your computer altogether.

The "You have been selected to receive a free Apple Ipod" are the most frequent, and, to me, the most annoying. But I only get them on my work computer, not my Mac at home.
