Great pictures Aker Builder! She is coming along nicely. Seeing your close-up picture of the Viking Crown Lounge, it seems it will be a big lounge (and not chopped up into smaller rooms on the Voyager/Freedom-class ships). Could you please take a picture of the inside when you get a chance?

I don't know if this was discussed already - but - it would appear that the light blue colour about which there was so much discussion seems absent in these pics.

Is it really gone now? or is it just not visible due to light?

Great pics Aker! Thank You!

I see the light blue color very clearly in the photo with the bow shot.

I wonder if the baby-blue hull is another wacky RCI livery scheme like the ill fated blue/yellow/red/black/white livery of Celebrity's M-class ships. Like those ships, will RCI eventually come to their senses and just paint Oasis like the rest of the fleet?

I'm a strong supporter of a consistent paint scheme across a line's fleet. In fact, I'm disappointed that Solstice isn't painted more like the other Celebrity ships with a stronger blue band somewhere on the hull and bow.

I just looked up pictures of that old celebrity m-class paint scheme and I actually like it better than the standard one. It looked classier than and by giving it more of an ocean liner look. That little bit of gold stripping really added an extra level of class and style to it. I'm actually disappointed they didn't stick with it. We'll all have to wait till Oasis is done so we can accurately decide if the blue is good or not. Either way don't expect a change for a few years. Ships cost a fortune to paint so it won't change till her time is up.

I thought the red - yellow - blue - white - black livery of the Millie made the ship look like a toy. Definately not a premium cruise look of elegence, style, and sophistication. The new scheme is much better... a return to the contemporary yacht style that Celebrity launched with in 1990 with Horizon.

It's amazing how fast cruise ships can be built. It's also nice to have an insider that can supply pictures of the progress. Makes one appreciate what it takes to put together a ship and then to be able to cruise and see the finished product. Kudos to Aker Builder for sharing. Keep up the fine work

Fabulous series of photos AKer builder, much appreciated. Those pods look so tiny; and only 3!

By the looks of the progress here, could one assume that most of the heavy lifting would be completed by the end of the year?

Also, Any word on the Allure? Will they need to move the Oasis out of this drydock before the start on the Allure? With her following just one year behind one would think they need to get crackin'

Inquiring minds...

Craig

If you look on your main page just above the picture of the oasis. It says the dry dock was flooded and the water touches the hull.

Folatout is scheduled on 21 nov... if everything goes smoothly(propulsion, wind, etc.).
So it means: no water before 21 nov.

Allure is about 10 - 15% complete. Assembly of allure in drydock starts immediately after oasis floatout is complete!

Silly question as all the features are now announced, but what is inside the structure that spans across the baordwalk over the "show pool" - mast bar on top ?

I don't think they are. We have not seen renderings of the main dining room or theatre for example.

It looks like that "club" is at the rear of deck 14. Seemingly odd location with several staterooms adjacent to area and poor access to other public areas.

Unless... That is one humongous, kick a** Suite! You want to talk about views!!!

Have had alot of time to look at it, it's my desktop wallpaper.

Hmmm... Always interesting...

That area could be anything. The entrance is located inside that sports shopping building on the bridge. If you look at the construction pictures you will see there are stairs where the building will be over. Looking at the concept pictures that bridge includes three windows, two vents, and three windows going across. If it is a public space it will be sports related as that is where the entrance is. Maybe they put inline skating there. I wouldn't be surprised if it was off limits and just stuff related to flow rider equipment, sports store storage, and sporting equipment for the sports deck.
