Sorry if this has been posted/discussed before, but can someone please answer how much wider (in feet) will the Oasis be than the Freedom class ships?

Also, does anyone (AKer builder?) have knowledge of any size changes in the aft of the ship where the Diving pool will be? In other words, has the radius's in the aft corners decreased in order to create more width in the very aft of the ship to help accomodate the pool and aqua theatre?

Thank you

Looking at the photo in the below link, I am trying to figure out if that is where the two pools are going to be located up on the pool deck?

moulded breadth - the transverse distance between the moulded or inboard surfaces of the side shell plating measured at the widest portion of a ship's hull; used in calculations

maximum (extreme) breadth - the transverse distance extending from the most outboard point on one side to the most outboard point on the other side of a ship's hull including any projections on the ship's side; this dimension determines the maximum space occupied by the ship when used with length overall

That top deck area is where the pools are. In some of the videos they mention being up at the pool (gesturing up there) and looking down on central park. I've never seen construction evidence of it but that picture has what appears to be the holes for the pool. Good find.

I would think that the pools would be centered on each side, in that picture it looks like the holes are too close to the interior side. That may be where they are but i would think that they would want to center the pools more.

There are balconies right below that opening. It could of course be that these are only decorative but I guess these are actually cabin balconies.

I also wondered what the dimension was in FEET-anyone??

Thank goodness they kept the lovely (and expensive) rounded stern. They could have cheaped-out and gone w/a square one.

That was one reason why I asked. I saw that too and wondered if those would be just decorative balconies. Also the pool deck in that area curves out to add a little more space so that I was another reason that I thought it may be the two pools.

Multiply by 3.281.

And that rounded stern probably added a whole $500,000 to the price of the ship.

I'd think a cruiser style stern would cost more to build than a typical 1-bedroom condo.
