Wow, as a usual defender of Farcus, as I enjoy his unique twists in his designs- however this is horrible!

The lobby is nasuating... either rooms are too light in pastels, or dark and overhwelming.

I think the Carnival Liberty was the best Conquest Class.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the photos. Looks like typical Carnival to me. Personally I don't care for peach, pink, and aqua and this ship seems to have an abundance of those colors. Not for me. Of course the finished product may look different. The atrium looks very 1970's disco era.

Thanks Dan for the photos.

I don't care for the Pepto Bismol pink at all.

It will be interesting to see what the finished product is.

I think I need pepto bismol after seeing those pictures!

It reminds me of several things... pimples, 1980-90s shopping mall, the inside of a stomach, the kind of cheap plastic furnature that they make for little kid rooms and all the tile makes me think of a public restroom.

I would like to see the final photos but it is typical Carnival and Joe Farcus. Don't like any of what I see in the photos above.

I usually don't care for Farcus' work and have not been impressed by the interiors of any carnival ships I have seen pictures of to date. However, while this is typical Farcus I actually find it more appealing then most of his other work especially the pictures I have seen of the victory with its awful green in the atrium. I think the finished product will look smart and be more akin to Las Vegas hotels then any of his previous works. I can't wait to see the finished product. I especially like the show lounge with its dark blue colors.

Agreed.

Again, I do not know what to think. It seemed when I had pardon for the exterior of Carnival Splendor, the interiors blew me away. Lights, Camera, Action in everysense. Maybe when all of the construction equipment and tarp and protective covering are out it will convey a better picture but for now I am not impressed totally with the interior.

I like the use of used ironing boards in the atrium

I think this goes beyond some tacky 'Las Vegas' hotels. For anyone familar w/Vegas today it is not as tacky as some may think. Some of the best restaurants in the States today are in Las Vegas and the city is going after more high end visitors as seen w/the new luxury hotels.

Carnival ships are more 'Reno, Nevada' in my opinion

With a little imagination it's not too difficult to figure out what the final product will look like. We have also seen several renderings. Of course I will save final judgement for the end result. Like every Carnival ship, I'm sure there will be some lounges I really like and others that are just nauseating.

So far I'm not a fan of the color choices.

Thanks Ernie. I still do not like it. I guess I am just tired of Farcus and his work. The colors are hideous from what I see in those photos.

Someone mentioned the Victory and the sea of green.

Hey Carnival Guy, you definitely need to take a chill pill. Only your 8th post and already an angry red-face icon?

You must realize that personal opinions are just that, a reflection of that person. And they are specific to that individuals taste and comfort levels. You may like Rap and Hip Hop, I may like Classical and Jazz. You may like champagne and caviar, I may like beer and mustard pretzels. We all like different things. Some folks here prefer mega-giant box boats, some prefer small intimate vessels. Some cruise on one cruise line only, some cant stand being on the same ship twice.

Carnival is definitely not for everybody, just like Crystal, Silverseas, and Cunard is not for everybody. I dont particularly like Royal Caribbean, but would be beaten down if I mentioned it here.

My favorite cruise lines are Holland-America and Celebrity. Yours happens to be (apparently) Carnival. Dont take what someone says about Carnival personal.

There are a lot of Carnival-hating, Princess and Royal Caribbean-lovin cruisers here. Thats fine. Thats them. You cant beat a horse to make it plow. It'll just die. Thats what some of the regulars on here are, that horse. They wont ever like Carnival, even if it were free. Not to their taste.
